Dynamics in Psychological Science

Welcome to the Dynamics in Psychological Science (DIPS) Lab!

The Dynamics in Psychological Science (DIPS) lab is dedicated to the development and application of models to study psychological processes. Specifically, we are interested in three interrelated questions.

1. How to determine models suited to study developmental trajectories (e.g., childhood through adolescence) that capture periods of growth, stability and deceleration, and identify individual differences in such trajectories.
2. How to specify models for examining dynamic interrelations in processes, as they unfold over time (e.g., development of cognition and emotion).
3. How to characterize coordination in psychological processes of two individuals who are part of the same dyad (e.g., learning in teacher-student, affect in parent-child).
